By Claire Ballor. A man was arrested Friday by Mansfield police after they say he took photos up a shopper's skirt while she was at Walmart.
Timothy McCalla, 30, has been charged with improper visual recording, according to public records. He is being held in the Tarrant County Jail. His bond amount has not been listed.
The woman said she was shopping Thursday when a man approached her and told her that his wife had seen a man taking photos up the shopper's skirt. He said he'd get more information from his wife, but he never returned, according to police. Police said they reviewed the store's surveillance footage and saw that the man who alerted the woman had been taking the photos up the shopper's skirt. Detectives said they also recognized the man from a prior arrest and identified him as McCalla. McCalla, who is a registered sex offender,was arrested in March for trying to kidnap a year-old girl in Mansfield, police said.
The girl was walking home in the block of Gertie Barrett Road when a man in a ski mask jumped out of bushes and tried to grab her.
McCalla was arrested in the kidnapping attempt but bonded out, according to police.
